Edible & Medicinal Plants Tour - Learn the edible and medicinal uses of native desert plants along our Curandero Trail on a leisurely walk guided by Jim Shepherd. Expect a few tasting samples, too; Jim usually shares samplers of agave syrup, mesquite flour and prickly pear cactus fruit jelly with his guests -- while explaining ways that native plants such as prickly pear cacti, ratany, agaves and jojoba have fed, healed and clothed Sonoran desert peoples for more than one thousand years.

* * * Please note: this guided tour explores the Curandero Trail, which has steep sections that are not suitable for visitors who use wheelchairs or walkers
